The Things Worth Dealing With

December 1, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

Over Thanksgiving we took a family ski trip to Utah.  We live in North Carolina and Utah is a long way from home.  The trip was fantastic.

But I don’t like to fly.  I don’t like the airport deal, I don’t like the planes and the crowds, and I really don’t like all the time it takes.  However, if we didn’t fly, we wouldn’t have made it out there and it was well worth it.

We see this in business and in recruiting all the time.  There are things that we deal with in order to get what we want.  For me, there is not much about the recruiting business that I don’t really love, but there are things that we all have to deal with.  If the positives outweigh the negatives then you can easily stay on course and handle it all.  That is until you can pay someone to handle the parts you don’t like.

Of course a private jet would solve my travel problems too.
