Current Perspective

A recent Businessweek article said data reveals that small business sales still haven’t completely recovered from the 9.7% drop during the downturn.  Four and a half years later sales are 1.1% below where they were before the economy went south.

What the stats don’t take into consideration is whether things were over inflated at the time and just pulled back to where they belong.  You can always measure from the top and make things look bad and you can always measure from the bottom and make things look good.  If you’re smart, you’ll keep your perspective in the present.  Your sales, your revenues, your placements etc.. are what they are now.
