Career Advice

Some of the best career advice I’ve ever heard.

Think of yourself as a one person entrepreneurial business within the context of your job. You don’t have to work for yourself, but take ownership of your career.

Studies show that people make more moves on average now than they used to, and why not? The 30 year golden watch and pension are long gone.

Candidates should be advised to make themselves valuable and own their career, detached from any one company. Then 30 years may happen, if the company is good enough and makes it worth while. Or maybe it won’t. Doesn’t matter.
