Multi-Tasking

We are hard wired to handle one concentrated task at a time and we perform better when focused on one activity. Even though we try, people are not like computers and are not built to Multi-Task.

In recruiting, we need to make decisions on how to concentrate effort. Run a full desk or one end of it? Block time for certain tasks? Handle only certain industries or types of positions? Only certain types of candidates? Multi-Tasking or trying to do too many different things can erode efficiency and efficiency is critical.
