Real Optimism

In basketball, to be a truly great shooter you have to be a real optimist. When he goes 0 for 5, the average shooter thinks he is in a slump and looks to pass. When a great shooter goes 0 for 5, he thinks he’s due to get hot.

Great recruiters think the next deal is going to work out. And when it doesn’t, they’re confident that the next one will. That’s why they keep working and that’s why they make challenging placements.
