User Friendly

December 28, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

I now have an iPhone and just started using a really cool app. I like to mountain bike and the app tracks your rides with GPS and saves all kinds of statistics on your workouts. I love it.

GPS units for cycling or other workouts have been around for some time, but I’ve always chosen not to use them. Too much hassle. The difference now is, you just have to have your phone with you and when you walk in the house it automatically uploads the information to a site where everything is easily available and really useful. No plug ins, no syncing, no extra gear or extra steps. User friendly. The key innovation wasn’t a better GPS unit, it was making it easy.

In recruiting we need to make sure we are making the experience more user friendly for the candidate and hiring manager. That’s what drives more use and greater success.
