The Value of Smart

January 22, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments

You aren’t required to be smart to be a recruiter, but it sure does help.

You’re required to find what the hiring manager needs. That’s what pays your salary or fee. Sometimes you can just work hard and be lucky and get that done. If you can put yourself in the hiring manager’s shoes, see candidates the way he or she sees them, and treat them with respect and trust then you’re smart. If you can pick-up new sources and ways to source and determine what works and what doesn’t, then you are smart.

Smart helps a lot.
