Burning Bridges

February 5, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments

Burning bridges is bad policy for anyone. For recruiters it can be devastating.

You have to be able to go back to people as opportunities change and new ones come up. A candidate that wasn’t quite the right fit today, very well may be the right fit tomorrow. Expanding networks aren’t built with burnt bridges and expanding networks fill jobs.

Developing habits that show respect and keep doors open will consistently build bridges and avoid burning them.
