Genius Uncovered

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

– Albert Einstein

Part of the challenge in recruiting is to find the right fit while not conveying to those that aren’t the right fit that they are somehow not worthy. Einstein was right, everyone has real value and there is a right place for everyone. Unfortunately, some candidates don’t know what their true passion and value is or are not on track to pursue it. Others put much more or much less value on their own skills, or just want to pursue “a job” for the paycheck.

Not a problem we can easily solve, but it’s better for the industry, the job market as a whole, and all involved if we can all move a little more in the direction of understanding and conveying the concept of the value and the right fit as opposed to this fit.
