Pyramid of Stress

The things we stress about as recruiters are like a pyramid. The things that do happen are the small part at the top and all of the other things we worry about are in the larger portion and the base.

There are a whole bunch of things that can go wrong in a deal and most of them won’t happen. Cover the issues at the top, the important ones that you can control. Leave the issues at the bottom, for the most part, and don’t waste time and energy on them. You can’t control them anyway, and they aren’t deciding factors in the hire.
