Across The Line

Most of us have been given the big pitch that goes way too far before. If you haven’t, you aren’t missing much.

There is a point beyond where your pitch is productive. Across that line is no place to be. When you’re giving your pitch to your candidate, your hiring manager, or anyone else, stop before going too far. There is no gain beyond that point and plenty of potential damage. If there is any BS or effort to strong arm, you’ve gone too far.
