Hope, Suspect, Think, Know

When you start out in business, you hope you’re going to be good, that you have a good plan and that it will work.

As you gain experience, you get to the point where you suspect you are on the right path and that this thing is going to work. Work a little harder and put in more time and you reach the point where you think you are on your way and you have a solid business.

Then you get to the point where you know. You can’t skip steps. You can work harder and cram more experience in to try and make it go faster, but it’s a progression. It does help to understand which stage you are at and that will help you recognize the next stage when you reach it.
