Seeing The Real World

We need to be able to see the world as it really is.

In the real world, most people are not looking to make a job change today, but more people will be open to it tomorrow. In the real world, hiring managers just want the person who will have the most positive impact on their business in whatever key role they need filled.

In the real world businesses want to grow and are scared of bleeding to death. In the real world there is an overall push to grow, to succeed, and to do more. But the real world is not perfect so everyone who is qualified is not the best or automatic hire and things change all the time, getting better or worse. Embracing, accepting, and seeing all of this is key to maximum performance.
