Showing True Colors

I recently heard from a client about a candidate who abandoned his job.

It’s always disappointing when something like that happens. This company did a lot for this candidate and certainly deserved better. As is usually the case when something like this happens, there were signs. Among other incidents, the candidate didn’t show up for his physical during the hiring process and had not notified anyone.

We all want to make hires and challenging searches cause everyone from the hiring manager on down the line to want to make it work when we find candidates with the right skill set. However, a very high percentage of the time, candidates who act in an unprofessional manner end up not working out. You need what you need to run the business, but candidates like this are a big risk.
