Buying Time

One of the most frustrating things for a hiring manager or recruiter is when you have an offer on the table and the candidate waits until the deadline or asks for more time.

The first thought is that they are waiting to see if they get a better offer. Or maybe you aren’t their first choice, and that thought doesn’t go over well.

Guessing at what is going on is counter productive and detracts from what you are trying to accomplish, building and running a great business. Offers that aren’t accepted are a part of the process and we have to keep in mind that it is a process. No single hire is a must have, but a great recruiting and hiring process is.
