I agree with this post, even though it will be hard for most candidates to follow this advice.

Candidates Should Be Less Risk Averse

It’s hard to take a risk that you think may eliminate you as a candidate, but true risk shows the real you and gives a glimpse of your potential. That leads to a better fit and ultimately a win for the company and candidate.
