Hard Sell

Some people think that recruiting is about selling the candidate on the company. Some think it is about selling the company on the candidate.

Neither of these, of course, is correct. If you spend your career trying to sell one party on the other, your going to help hiring managers make a lot of mistakes and make a lot of people unhappy. That’s counterproductive.
