Inpatient Entrepreneur (Recruiter)

The Inpatient Entrepreneur. What a great term. The connotation is that many who attempt entrepreneurship are inpatient and fail.

Building something real takes time. Successful entrepreneurs know this and unsuccessful ones typically don’t. This doesn’t just relate to third party recruiters who run their own shop. Inpatient recruiters are in the same boat as inpatient entrepreneurs whether they are internal or external. Whether they run their own shop or work for someone else.

Real success in recruiting takes patience. Patience in building relationships, understanding your hiring managers, learning what you can and cannot control in different situations, when to push and when to drop it.

Outside of Grit (which really involves patience anyway) patience is one of the most important things to have in order to be really successful in recruiting.
