Energy Industry Impact

Here is a good look at some statistics on the energy industry and it’s impact on the economy overall.

I’m really surprised at how little impact the industry has on the overall economy.  1.7% of employment and only 3% of GDP.  Makes low oil prices look like a big win for the economy.
